Some of the background philosophy to these musical initiatives of mine: One of the major motivations behind “cosmic music concerts” is not merely the celebration of “cosmic awe” at the grandeur of the heavens above, but actually an affirmation – of what I regard as a neglected truth – that in the cosmic sense we Earthians are all just one people, joint inhabitants of the only habitable planet we know of, so far. That is, we people are sharing just one planetary ecosystem – along with many other species, of course – to be cherished now and also for future generations. These ideas are not original with me, but my efforts – my musical presentations – go beyond the presentation of ideas, and are directed toward an intention of creating conditions or circumstances in which individuals can practice an expanded awareness and experience feelings of cosmic at-one-ness.
